Organizing Apps Into Folders - Android
Date Written: 9/26/13
With so many app options, it's easy to let the main screens of your phone or tablet become overrun with App icons. Luckily, there are two easy ways to organize these.
Moving App Icons on Android
Moving an icon on your Android device is simple. All you need to do is hold your finger down on an app icon for a second and then move it wherever you want.
You can drag an icon to appear someplace different on the same screen or drag the icon to the far right or left of the screen to move the icon to a different page. You can also edit the icons that always appear on the bottom menu. Drag the icons from the menu the same way and then you can replace them with icons that you use more frequently and would like to appear on every screen.
If you have an app that you don't use too often, you can also choose to have it not show on any of your main screens and only appear in your App Folder. When you hold your finger down on an app icon for a second or two, you will notice a Remove option appear somewhere on the screen. To remove the icon from that screen, drag the icon to the word Remove.
