Testing the Internet Connection on the App

When using the Palm-Tech Home Inspection Software app on an iPhone, iPad, or Android device, you will need an internet connection in order to access the cloud drive. This includes uploading to the cloud and downloading from the cloud. Occasionally you may run into an issue where you have a weak signal or connection or you have completely lost the connection. This can cause an issue when trying to access the cloud.

In these cases, the first step is to test your internet connection in the Palm-Tech app. This can be done by going to Settings and tapping ‘Test Connection’. This runs a quick test to see if the app is connected to the internet. If you have a solid connection, it will say ‘Test Successful’. If there is not a connection at that time, it will say ‘Test Failed’.

If you see ‘Test Failed’, here are a few next steps:

  • Be sure you are connected to wi-fi
  • Disconnect from your internet connection and then reconnect
  • Restart your device
