ASUS has launched a new series of tablets called the ZenPad. There is no official release date at this point, but many believe it will be released sometime in July. They have confirmed four different models with one being 7-inch, two 8-inch, and one is 10.1-inch. These models will have different specs and different price points which will allow consumers to choose the model that works best for their needs.

One of the more interesting features that will come with some of the models is a removable back cover which can be replaced with a different cover that actually adds features. For example, there is a cover that adds extra battery life, and one called Audio Cover which adds an additional six speakers to the back of your tablet. You also can simply replace the back cover with a different color or leather case without adding functionality.

ASUS has been creating Windows tablets for years and has manufactured a few Android tablets as well, including the first two generations of the Google Nexus tablet series. Once the ZenPad tablets are released we'll see what the market thinks and how they stack up against the most popular Android tablets such as the Google Nexus and Galaxy Tab series.
