Samsung Note 8

Date Written: 10/19/2017

On August 23, 2017, Samsung announced the Galaxy Note 8 which was then released on September 15. This is an important release for the Note series as the Note 7 had issues with exploding batteries which caused production to be stopped early and lots of bad press for Samsung.

The Note is known for the 'S Pen' which comes with device. The S Pen is a stylus that you can use to write and tap on screen and there are many users of the Note who use it simply because of this. It's one of the largest phones available as it come with a 6.3" screen. Samsung stretched the aspect ratio (18.5:9) of the screen to help make it easier to hold. If you're looking for a large phone that with a good stylus then the Note 8 should be high on your list of possibilities.

The two 12 MP rear cameras are one of the devices strongest selling points. It takes great pictures and as other new devices come out over the next few months it stands to be near the top of the list for camera quality.

Overall the Note 8 is what you would expect from a high-end Samsung phone. It helps round out Samsung's line of phones when combined with the S8 and S8+. Much of the internal hardware on the three phones are similar so if you are deciding which one to use you'll want to look at screen size and whether or not the S Pen is something that would be helpful.
