The LG G7 ThinQ was announced on May 2nd and is the latest phone in their flagship 'G' phone series. The phone follows the recent trend of having a notch at the top of its screen and includes an exterior assistant button which activates Google Assistant. It can be charged wirelessly and is rated to IP68 (water/dust resistant rating). The 'Boombox' speakers are supposed to be the loudest available on a phone (we'll see if this is true once the phone is released) and it also includes a feature to 'Boost' the brightness of the screen for a short period of time to make it easier to see in the sun. There is microSD card slot for expandable storage as well as the standard headphone jack which is being left off many phones. This phone appears to be another solid release in the series and people who love LG phones should be happy with it. Of course the real question is whether or not it adds enough to get people using other phones like iPhones or Samsung to want to switch, and while this should be a good device, it's probably not enough to make people switch.
