Apple iPad Mini Retina

Apple iPad Mini Retina

Date Written: 11/14/13

The new iPad Mini offers a few upgrades over the previous iPad Mini, but they are big upgrades. First, the new iPad Mini comes with Retina display. This means a cleaner, crisper high resolution 7.9" screen. It also comes with the 64-bit A7 processor, so it's going to be considerably faster than the previous model. Apple claims up to 4 times faster.

The new iPad Mini offers the same basic design, but is slightly thicker and heavier than the previous iPad Mini. The camera will still be 5 MP, but Apple says there are some improvements in this area as well.

Overall the new iPad Mini with Retina display is a nice upgrade over the previous iPad Mini. In fact, the internal specs are nearly identical to the new iPad Air. So the main difference between Apple's two newest iPads is the size and the cost. The iPad Mini with Retina display will cost $399 for the 16GB model, $100 cheaper than the larger iPad Air. If you are looking for the latest and greatest iPad from Apple but prefer something that will fit in one hand, than the new iPad Mini is for you. The iPad Mini with Retina display is expected to be available in late November.
